Susie's Tea Rooms is tucked away behind the quay in historic Market Street in Appledore.

After exploring the narrow streets and brightly painted cottages come and enjoy a wide range of daytime refreshments in comfortable surroundings with friendly local staff. When the weather is good we have a pretty sheltered tea garden.
Dogs are welcome in both the tea room and garden.

Andy and Caroline welcome you to their award winning Bensons Restaurant on Appledore Quay here in North Devon where we pride ourselves on the quality of our locally sourced fresh fish some of which is landed on the quay opposite. The Pig on the Hill offers a great menu, plus good beer .
It's a family/child friendly place and there's a games room with skittles and pool table and an outside play park. There's even a petanque pitch where you can hire sets of boules.

More than a relaxed and friendly pub, restaurant and gardens - perfectly situation, right on the Tarka Trail! Although the last train ran from Torrington in 1982, lots of memorabilia of the local line are on view including a goods grake van, coal truck and buffet carriage on a restored stretch of track, adding to the feel of yesterday. 

This is also the home of The Tarka Valley Railway Group
